November 11, 2008JCCI Annual Gala: Rockefeller Receives Eagle on the World Award The Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of New York (JCCI) presented Senator Rockefeller with the Eagle on the World Award - at their 24th Annual Dinner Gala for the Senator''''s tireless effort and commitment to promote political and economic ties between the United States and Japan. Several DRWVF Board members, a few representatives from the West Virginia Developmet Office and our state''''s existing Japanese investors attended the event. In March 2008, Senator Rockefeller hosted a reception for 80 members of the JCCI as well as other targeted investment prospects in New York City. As a result of the New York trip in March of 2008, JCCI has expressed a strong interest in bringing 15-20 high level executives from various industries to the State. In 2009, the Foundation will work with JCCI and the WV Department of Commerce to put together a customized mission which will include visits to the state''''s existing investors such as Toyota and Diamond Electric as well as additional meetings with local and state officials and private industry leaders.
