June 1-2, 2008%WV Homeland Security Summit III: Despite Lack of Funding State Makes Strides Senator Jay Rockefeller recently hosted the 3rd West Virginia Summit on Homeland Security in Morgantown, together with and the DRWV Foundation, West Virginia University, and the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety. The two-day summit welcomed first responders, school officials, scientists, health experts, private sector security experts and government officials who took part in outdoor demonstrations highlighting some of West Virginia''s emergency response capabilities, and tackled numerous homeland security topics through panel discussions and mettings.
