Matt Bond

Market President, United Bank

Matt Bond serves as Market President of United Bank’s Capital Market in Charleston, West Virginia. As Market President Matt is responsible for United’s business development and day to day banking operations in the market.

Matt started his career with United in 2008 after graduating from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics. After leaving to earn a law degree from the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina, Matt returned to United in 2014 as a Special Assets Officer. In 2015, Matt transitioned back to commercial banking as United’s Commercial Banking Department Head in Charleston, West Virginia.

As a Charleston, West Virginia, native Matt is committed to the economic and cultural vitality of West Virginia’s capital city and the surrounding region. Given this commitment Matt has served in various roles as a board member for the Charleston Area Alliance and Charleston Catholic High School.
